Dear Associates, Clients, Stakeholders and Friends of Lucas Group:

FY 2007 was the 37th anniversary year for Lucas Group and a milestone time in our company’s history. On July 17, 2007, the majority interest of Lucas Group was sold to HIG Capital, a Miami based private equity firm. The sale to HIG Capital gives Lucas Group a stronger platform for future growth opportunities. A minority interest of equity was also set aside for key managers/top producers, who will continue to guide the organization.

As we move into FY 2008 and beyond, Lucas Group is positioned to be an industry leader in our market segment. Our strategy to continue growing successfully will be focused on 4 key areas:

1. Add more producers to existing operations that are underserved. We plan to double our recruiting staff in the next 3-4 years.
    
2. Increase productivity per producer. We are vitally interested in providing our recruiters with the technical, training, marketing and leadership tools for personal growth.
    
3. Expand to new geographic markets. 5 cities have been identified as expansion opportunities in the next 3 years (Boston, London, San Francisco, Seattle and Tampa (opened October 1, 2007))
    
4. Do selected acquisitions. Although most of our past growth has been organic, we have had success with targeted acquisitions. We plan to use this strategy to enhance our business when we discover the right cultural and business fit.

I’m very optimistic about the future of Lucas Group. We are blessed with excellent leadership and producer talent, a strong business model and a service that provides human capital that is growing in importance to our customers and businesses world wide. From my vantage point, our future looks very bright.
